James Fink had never been to a Kentucky basketball game, until a conversation at his 90th birthday party sparked an idea.

With the help of longtime Kentucky fan Corey Price, Fink, who has been a UK fan since 1949, finally made his way to Rupp Arena to watch his Wildcats earlier this week. Price and Fink sat in section 35 on Monday night to watch Kentucky take down New Mexico State 86-46.

KSR’s Steven Peake was able to catch up with Fink during the game to get his initial thoughts on seeing the Wildcats in person. He was a huge fan of the environment and enjoyed watching John Calipari go crazy on the sidelines. Listen to everything Fink had to say below.
