Summer practice is in full swing for Kentucky men’s basketball. Now a few weeks into the process (which includes incorporating 12 brand-new faces and a brand-new coaching staff), we’re slowly beginning to hear from the new-look Wildcats.

On Thursday, a trio of Kentucky players meet with reporters to break down their thoughts on the team as a whole, how Mark Pope is as a head coach, what practice has been like so far, and everything in between. Watch and listen below as Ansley Almonor (Fairleigh Dickinson transfer), Otega Oweh (Oklahoma transfer), and Andrew Carr (Wake Forest transfer) provide thoughts on their experiences in Lexington so far.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll hear from the remaining nine scholarship players on Pope’s debut roster. It might be the middle of the offseason, but basketball never stops at the Joe Craft Center (and that’s how we like it).
