Watch Anthony Brown Dramatically Commit to Kentucky
On a warm Saturday afternoon in Springfield, Oh., the BBN was sweating out where Anthony Brown was going to commit to play college football
Brown had five finalists, but most experts believed two schools were duking it out for the four-star wide receiver, Cincinnati and Kentucky. Since the Bearcats’ appearance in the CFB Playoff, Cincinnati has been somewhat of a thorn in Kentucky’s side, securing eight commitments from the state of Ohio this offseason. The paranoia was amplified when Kentucky fans saw the hats on the table and Cincinnati’s did not still have a sticker on it. He could return the rest of the hats after the ceremony, but not the Bearcats’.
Former Wildcat Moe Douglass and current Springfield head coach Moe Douglass kicked off the ceremony. He passed the mic to Anthony Brown, who spent a little more than five minutes to thank his coaches, friends and family. When it finally came time to decide, a Bearcats’ backpack emerged from under the table. Hidden inside was a brand new Kentucky hat.
The theatrics were entertaining. The results were just what Kentucky needed. YAHTZEE!
