WATCH: Bam Adebayo takes a bad boat ride in new Jungle Cruise commercial
Bam Adebayo didn’t make the NBA Finals this year, but he still made an appearance during the broadcast.
During Game 1 of the 2021 NBA Finals between Devin Booker’s Phoenix Suns and the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night, a commercial for the upcoming Disney movie Jungle Cruise aired during a break, and Adebayo was one of the featured actors. Adebayo joined his Miami Heat teammate Jimmy Butler in the advertisement as the two unsuspectingly travel down a frightening-looking stream of water that ultimately ends with them pouring over the edge and down a waterfall.
It is cinematic perfection in every single way.

Prior to this commercial, I can’t say I knew anything about the Jungle Cruise movie, but now I’m all in. According to IMDb, the stars of it are Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt. It is set to release on July 30, 2021. Below is a short description of the film.

If you didn’t stay up to watch the ending of Game 1 (which was around 11:30 p.m. EST), you missed an awesome Suns win and an even better Adebayo commercial. Phoenix took the victory 118-105 as Booker went for 27 points and six assists. Game 2 is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. EST on Thursday night.
Adebayo and the Miami Heat made it all the way to the 2020 NBA Finals before running out of gas against the Los Angeles Lakers, but were swept by the Bucks in the first round of this year’s playoffs. As a result of his early exit, Adebayo is ready to suit up for Team USA in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. It also allowed him some extra time to start his acting career, which he might have a knack for.
