WATCH: Bam Adebayo's game-sealing block on Jayson Tatum in ECF Game 1
Bam Adebayo has the first highlight for his future Hall of Fame reel.
With the Boston Celtics down 116-114 and under five seconds left in overtime, Jayson Tatum’s potential game-tying dunk was blocked directly at the rim by the massive left paw of Miami Heat big man Bam Adebayo.

Adebayo would corral his own block and was immediately fouled by a Celtics player. The former Kentucky Wildcat hit one of two free throws on the other end and Tatum’s last-second shot just barely missed, giving the Heat a 117-114 win. Miami takes an early 1-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals thanks to Adebayo’s impressive play not only in that moment, but all evening long. He finished with 18 points, six rebounds, and nine assists in 42 minutes.

Fellow Heat teammate and former ‘Cat, Tyler Herro, also had himself a big night, drilling (another) clutch triple with 62 seconds left in regulation that put Miami down just two, 105-103. The Bucket nearly posted a triple-double, registering an overall stat line of 12 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists.
The NBA Playoffs have already been a blast to watch, but when it’s a duo of one-time Kentucky greats putting on the show, it feels a little extra special.
