Benny Snell is the best running back to ever wear Kentucky blue and white. No. 26 ended his three-year career in 2018 as the school’s all-time leading rusher, breaking the 43-year-old record previously held by Sonny Collins in a Citrus Bowl victory.

Now a Pittsburgh Steeler, the relentless runner is spending his offseason in Lexington. In-between workouts at the Joe Craft Football Training Facility, KSR caught up with Benny Snell at last week’s Schlarman Strong Golf Scramble. He loved his time at Kentucky and may one day return to be a full-time resident of the Commonwealth.

“I miss it, I miss it everyday,” he told KSR. “It’s been a blessing. If I could live it all over again, I swear, I promise I would do it. I had the best time ever. Now I’m house-shopping out here. Never know what’s coming soon.”

His all-time rushing record was briefly in jeopardy this fall. We asked Benny what he thought of his predecessor’s pursuit.
