WATCH: Brad White, Kentucky defense talk Ohio matchup
Ahead of Kentucky’s showdown with the Ohio Bobcats this weekend, members of the Wildcats’ defense spoke with the media to preview the matchup.
Defensive coordinator Brad White took the podium after Wednesday’s practice where he talked about what his unit learned from the one-point loss to Georgia, what Kentucky can do to pick up more loose fumbles, how Deone Walker is dealing with double and triple teams, why he sees some Adrian Peterson in Ohio running back Anthony Tyus III, and much more.
After White wrapped up his thoughts, linebackers JJ Weaver and D’Eryk Jackson stepped in front of the microphones to give theirs. Weaver also talked about how the defense can do a better job of grabbing fumbles on the ground, the difficulties of facing an always-tough MAC opponent, the early play of true freshman Steven Soles, and more. Jackson’s session was lighter, but he did talk about the challenges of slowing down a running back like Tyus and a couple of other topics.
