WATCH: Calipari, Grady, and Washington preview the Alabama trip

The weather did not impact Kentucky Basketball’s Friday travel plans for its Saturday game at Alabama. The Wildcats are on schedule to arrive in Tuscaloosa on time Friday evening, but not before fulfilling those pregame media obligations.
This time, John Calipari took questions about Kentucky’s challenge at Alabama, plus a lot of non-basketball topics. Calipari opened the conversation by listing many of the young women who have achieved great things in UK Athletics, then a list of women of color from the McLendon Leadership program he helped form.

Calipari also named the type of person in the media he does not like, admitted he didn’t want to go to a recent practice, spoke about his team’s experience, and more.
Then for the player perspective, Kellan Grady and TyTy Washington opened up about team issues; things like Washington’s status, Oscar Tshiebwe’s personality, and overall team chemistry. They also had plenty to say about what’s ahead in Tuscaloosa too.
