WATCH: Dane Key announces commitment to Kentucky Football
Dane Key made the decision to commit to the Kentucky Wildcats on Thursday afternoon, and it marks an important stage in the future of the program.
Once a run-heavy offense, new coordinator Liam Coen has introduced a modern style that needs big-time playmakers on the outside. Kentucky has that right now in Wan’Dale Robinson, but a replacement will be necessary.

Enter Dane Key, a 4-star class of 2022 wide receiver from Frederick Douglass High School considered a top 300 prospect in the country. He’s arguably the most talented pass-catcher Kentucky successfully recruited during the Mark Stoops era. There will be plenty of opportunities for Key to earn reps from the day he steps on campus. He plans to enroll early, as well, which will help give him a leg up amongst his fellow incoming freshman.
If you happened to miss Key’s commitment, we’ve got you covered. Read over a couple of links below before diving into his ceremony, commitment video, and post-decision thoughts.
