WATCH: Freddie Maggard Ranks Kentucky Football Road Trips
The 2023 Kentucky football season is right around the corner. The Wildcats kick off the action against Ball State Sept. 2 at Kroger Field. Most of September is within friendly confines in Lexington. If you want to hit the road to see the Wildcats, you’ll have to wait until Mark Stoops’ squad travels to Nashville Sept. 23.
SEC road trips are an absolute blast. Following Kentucky everywhere is a challenge, but picking one weekend to explore a new SEC campus is time well spent.

Between his time as the Cats’ quarterback, a fan and media member, Freddie Maggard has been to just about every SEC campus. Ahead of the 2023 season, he ranks this fall’s five road trips.
- at Vanderbilt, Sept. 23
- at Georgia, Oct. 7
- at Miss. State, Nov. 4
- at South Carolina, Nov. 18
- at Louisville, Nov. 25
Unlike most of the Big Blue Nation, we know Freddie isn’t a fan fo the Music City, but where do the rest of Kentucky’s opponents rank? As you might imagine, a trip to listen to the cowbells in Starkville is one of Freddie’s favorites. Come for the rankings, stay for the shenanigans.
