When the Kentucky football schedule was released, nobody circled Vanderbilt as an opponent that would produce a big-time atmosphere at Kroger Field. Both teams had a change of plans.

This is the first time in recorded history that a Kentucky football game will pit a pair of teams coming off of Top 10 victories. Vanderbilt shocked No. 1 Alabama and the Wildcats took down No. 6 Ole Miss on the road. The SEC teams once mocked as cellar-dwellers have the last laugh.

Now each team’s resolve will be put to the test. One will build momentum from the big win, while the other will have to answer the question, “Was that a one-hit wonder?”
