Kentucky’s best in high school hoops was on full display on Saturday night at the Second Chance Shootout when Lyon Country faced off against North Laurel.
Rising junior guard Travis Perry finally faced off against Kentucky commitment Reed Sheppard in the top-15 showdown. However, Perry’s Lyon County Lyons bested Sheppard’s North Laurel Jaguars in a 90-83 shootout. Perry was the star of the show scoring 45 points in the big win. Meanwhile, Sheppard poured in 32 points.

“[Reed] texted me before the game and said good luck. He said it was going to be fun,” Perry said after the game. “Playing against a player of that caliber and a team like that is fun for us. It’s not something you get all the time.”
