WATCH: Highlights from Travis Perry vs. Trent Noah at Rupp Arena

Before they were splashing threes to beat Tennessee at Rupp Arena, Travis Perry and Trent Noah were splashing threes at Rupp Arena.
The two Kentucky kids combined to score 19 points on 5-7 three-point attempts in a 75-64 victory over the fifth-ranked Vols. For hoopheads who have followed their careers closely, this shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise.
Last spring, Noah set a Sweet 16 record by knocking down 19 three-pointers over four games at the KHSAA State Tournament. Before he was the Mountain Mamba, he put the team on his back and nearly carried Harlan County to a state title.
Noah was a South Carolina signee at the time who convinced everyone in the crowd at Rupp Arena that he should be a Cat. In the second round, he scored 48 points on 7-10 shooting from three, the fourth-most in Sweet 16 history. His season ended with 17 points and nine in the championship game, a 67-58 loss to Lyon County.

Noah was bested by his future teammate in that final. Perry, the state’s all-time leading scorer, hit five three-pointers to score 27 points for the Lyons. In the Sweet 16, Noah averaged 32.3 ppg. and Perry tallied 22 points per contest.
By now, you’re used to seeing them get buckets at Rupp. Take a few minutes to see how that looked while they were wearing different jerseys at the home of Kentucky basketball.
