It was a 70-67 win for the White Team over the Blue Team during Saturday night’s annual Blue-White Game. The Kentucky men’s basketball team hosted the yearly event in Pikeville, KY this time around instead of the usual Rupp Arena, using the opportunity to raise money in order to help the area rebuild from the devastating floods that hit eastern Kentucky over the summer.

Nearly 7,000 of the Big Blue Nation faithful piled into the Appalachian Wireless Arena to watch the scrimmage, and they were treated to some unusually intense preseason basketball. There certainly wasn’t a lack of energy from the players on the floor, who played all out for the entire night.

Throughout the event, Wildcats head coach John Calipari was addressing the crowd and hyping up the fans. Listen to what he had to say below. If you keep scrolling, you can also watch/listen to the postgame player interviews from the two stars of the night: freshman guard Adou Thiero and Illinois State transfer Antonio Reeves, who combined for a total of 38 points for the losing Blue Team.
