WATCH: John Calipari's Postgame Press Conference After Kentucky-BAL Select
In his opening comments following a third win at GLOBL Jam, John Calipari admitted he was surprised by Kentucky‘s effort against BAL Select. He thought the combination of the day off, the spot in the gold medal game, the undefeated record, and the high of swimming at Drake’s would lead to a step backward on Saturday.
He was wrong. Kentucky matched the fight and the physicality from BAL Select, even winning the boards despite being undersized. The ‘Cats also showed they could hit shots when the game tightened up, and Calipari loved it.
From there, he talked about lineup combinations and a little about certain players. He ended with a rehash of one of his favorite talking points, summer basketball.
