Before Kentucky Basketball boards a chartered flight to Nashville for Tuesday night’s date with Vanderbilt, second-year assistant coach Jai Lucas and first-year veteran Kellan Grady were picked to speak on behalf of the team.

Grady went first, opening up about his experiences against Vanderbilt while at Davidson, including past matchups with Scotty Pippen Jr. Grady also talked about the importance of winning road games in the SEC and what an away victory can do for team morale. Of the loss at LSU this past weekend, Grady said, “We should’ve won.”

Lucas went next as a representative of the coaching staff to discuss point guard play (a position he knows well), Memorial Gym, Oscar Tshiebwe, and other matters of significance.

Hear from both Lucas and Grady below via UK Athletics’ recordings of the conversations.
