WATCH: Kenny Brooks, Clara Strack preview rival Louisville
Prior to Kentucky’s matchup against No. 18 Louisville, Kenny Brooks and sophomore center Clara Strack fielded questions in their press conference to preview the game.
“Big week for us,” Brooks said in his pre-Louisville press conference. “Obviously, very excited for our first taste of the Kentucky-Louisville rivalry. Although playing Louisville is not new to us, and obviously playing in some very big games a couple years ago, the ACC championship last year, we went down there, and I think it was pretty much a sold out crowd and two ranked teams, so very healthy rivalry between the coaching staffs, the players.”
As for Strack, she isn’t as familiar with the rivalry herself, but she knows the Louisville Cardinals, and she knows that it should be good come on Saturday.

“I’m super excited,” Strack explained. “Obviously, you hear a lot about it everywhere you go. It’s a big thing. I can’t say that I know a ton about it, obviously, but I think I’m learning, and I think I’m just hearing from all the talk over social media and around. So, I’m definitely excited for that, and I’m hoping that it’s just a good game for us to really challenge ourselves.”
