WATCH: Kenny Brooks, players recap Liberty and preview Kansas State

Prior to Sunday’s game between Kentucky and Kansas State, Kenny Brooks and the players talked with the media to preview the matchup.
Brooks discussed how at this point in the year, you kind of are who you are. Obviously, the goal for a team should be and is to continually improve. However, a lot of the gameplanning and preparation is based around trying to mask potential weaknesses.

“At this juncture, you’re pretty much — you are who you are, and we’re a good basketball team that has strengths. We also have weaknesses, just like K-State, just like anybody that you’re playing against,” Brooks said. “So, obviously, you want to play to your strengths, you want to mask your weaknesses, and then you want to try to exploit the same on their end. Right now, it’s just a it’s just a will. Jeff [Mittie] knows what his team is. We know what our team is. We’re going to try to do our best and then try to exploit their weaknesses, but that’s what the beauty of March is. You’re not going to go out in one day try to reinvent yourself as a team, but you want to try to just make sure you’re playing your best basketball.”
