WATCH: Kentucky Defense Discusses Spring Practice
Entering the final days of spring practice, the Kentucky defense discussed the latest from the Joe Craft Football Training Facility. Brad White broke down what he’s learned from this group that’s shown a great amount of growth over the last month. One player in particular that’s popped is Zion Childress.
“His confidence is through the roof,” said defensive coordinator Brad White.
Childress discussed his path from high school quarterback to Sun Belt safety, through the transfer portal to starting for Kentucky. He remembers the message Vince Marrow shared with him prior to kickoff against Georgia. “This is how you become a millionaire overnight.”
Childress was not the only one holding court Wednesday morning. JJ Weaver and Josaih Hayes also talked shop, while kicker Chance Poore shared what he’s been doing differently this offseason under new special teams coach Jay Boulware.
