Kentucky baseball has locked up the No. 2 overall seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament — the highest national seed in program history.

Up first, the Bat Cats will host Western Michigan this Friday at noon EST on the SEC Network. Kentucky was knocked out of the SEC Tournament earlier than expected, but a 40-win season propelled the Wildcats into a position where they can host a Super Regional. Kentucky Proud Park is going to be rocking this weekend, so make sure you grab a ticket now.

While we wait for first pitch on Friday, KSR’s Daniel Hager sat down with Derek Terry and Jonathon Bruner for episode six of the Bat Cat Beat to preview what’s to come this weekend. Dive in below and gear up for a run to Omaha.
