WATCH: Kentucky Offense Prepares for Rowdy Atmosphere at Florida
Will Levis threw for three touchdowns and more than 300 yards in the season debut, but the Kentucky offense knows they must improve to go toe-to-toe with No. 12 Florida Saturday night in The Swamp. Short-handed at running back thanks to multiple injuries, Rich Scangarello believes the Wildcats are prepared to handle the adversity.
“I have yet to be anywhere where I have gotten through a season without having (running) back injuries,” said the first-year offensive coordinator. “It’s just the nature of the position, the physicality you ask guys to do, you gotta be ready for it. Next guy up. The thing is, we built a deep room for this reason… I think we can sustain it. We’re just going to move forward, next man up. I’m excited about those guys. They’re playing good.”

La’Vell Wright is going to be tasked to do more. Michael Drennen and Dee Beckwith have received some carries in practice, but Wright and Kavosiey Smoke will handle the majority of reps. After dealing with a nagging injury in training camp, Wright is ready to show the BBN what he can do.
“I feel great. Ready to get some treatment and get in the cold tub, continue to refresh my legs every single day after practice,” Wright said. “It feels good.”
