Mark Stoops Ole Miss preview

The conversation typically centers around the previous game during Mark Stoops’ Monday afternoon press conference at Kroger Field. There weren’t a ton of Ohio questions today. That’s because Stoops is taking Kentucky on the road for the first time this fall to take on the fifth-ranked team in college football.

Stoops was incredibly complimentary the Ole Miss football program. It’s not just the offense that Lane Kiffin operates, but the defense they’ve developed under former Alabama DC Pete Golding.

“You’re going to have to earn every yard you get against them,” the Kentucky head coach said on Monday.

“They have length upfront and they have length in the secondary. They have length just across the board.”

He also gave an evaluation of the Cats’ performance vs. Ohio on tape, particularly on the offensive line, shared some roster news, and much more. Take a look.
