WATCH: Kentucky Men’s Basketball 2024-2025 Season Recap
I hope you’re ready for a good cry…
On Saturday, the talented folks over at UK Sports Video put out a recap video of the 2024-25 Kentucky men’s basketball season. From Mark Pope‘s debut press conference at Rupp Arena back in the spring to the Sweet 16 run last month, this highlight package shows us all of the highs from Pope’s first run in Lexington. There were a lot of them, too.
The video starts with a trio of seniors — Lamont Butler, Andrew Carr, and Koby Brea — sharing their final thoughts on their lone year at Kentucky following the season-ending loss to Tennessee in the NCAA Tournament. From there, we get to relive the wins over Duke, Gonzaga, Louisville, Florida, Tennessee (twice), Oklahoma (twice again!), Missouri, and many more.
It’ll be the best seven minutes of your entire day. Pope’s first Kentucky team will hold a special place in the hearts of the Big Blue Nation. This video does an excellent job of showing why.
