WATCH: Kentucky vs. Alabama had Rupp Arena at its BEST

The Rupp Arena crowd created a picture-perfect basketball environment this past weekend, even if the home fans couldn’t will Kentucky to victory over Alabama.

Saturday’s 102-97 loss to the Crimson Tide in a Top 10 matchup wasn’t what Mark Pope and his Wildcats were hoping for. That being said, this game more than lived up to the hype. 199 combined points between two of the best offenses in all of college basketball. The back-and-forth pace, especially in the first 10 minutes, had every single fan waiting on pins and needles for the next possession. Some of the crowd pops following a Kentucky make were the loudest I’ve ever heard. And on the flip side, some of the questionable foul calls drew an equally loud reaction.
