WATCH: KSR's Rapid Reaction to Kentucky WBB's 70-41 win over NKU
Things started off slow in Historic Memorial Coliseum on Thursday night, but in the end, the ‘Cats beat Northern Kentucky 70-41 to move to 2-0 on the young season.
At the end of the first quarter, Kentucky led by just four in an 18-14 affair. Northern Kentucky’s zone defense slowed things down for Kenny Brooks‘ team offensively. Even through the conclusion of the first half, Kentucky had just scored 36 points. Clara Strack, however, was ready from the get-go. She had nine points, nine rebounds and five assists at halftime. To finish the game, she had 15 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists and four blocks.

The other half of the Clara Connection came ready to play as well, scoring 18 points while also swatting away five shots in 22 minutes of action.
