WATCH: Kyra Elzy previews Kentucky WBB's trip to Missouri
The Kentucky women’s basketball team is set to tip off its conference schedule this week, a head-to-head battle vs. Missouri in Columbia.
Before the Wildcats hit the road for their second true road game of the season, head coach Kyra Elzy sat down with the media on Tuesday to preview the matchup. How can Kentucky move past its three-game losing streak vs. Louisville, Murray State and Florida Gulf Coast in December and build on its solid 95-86 home victory over Ohio last week? Can the Wildcats find the same magic they did in Minneapolis in their first road game of the season, an 80-74 win at Minnesota?
Also, did UK ever get back to wearing their normal uniforms? Elzy made the team wear green and black jerseys in practice because it hadn’t earned the privilege to wear blue during the disappointing losing streak. “There’s a responsibility that comes with it,” she said following the win over Ohio. Have things changed leading up to the Missouri matchup?
