WATCH: LB D'Eryk Jackson Mic'd Up at summer practice
D’Eryk Jackson is getting used to being hooked up to a microphone this summer. Kentucky’s senior inside linebacker was one of the Wildcats’ three representatives at 2024 Media Days back in July. He’s also the most recent player to receive the Mic’d Up treatment at practice.
The UK social media team took us behind the scenes of what a practice looks like from Jackson’s perspective. He might not be one for words (which you’ll soon find out) but his laugh sure is infectious. Hearing defensive coordinator Brad White call out defensive plays to Jackson through his helmet was pretty cool, too.
Jackson, a 6-foot-1, 245-pound native of Georgia enters this season as one of the leaders on White’s defense, having started 21 straight games (with 39 career games played) while leading Kentucky in tackles over the last two seasons. He was also named to the Butkus Award Watch List on Tuesday and is a preseason All-SEC member.
Watch him in action below. Kentucky’s season opener against Southern Miss is just 18 days away…
