WATCH: Liam Coen, Kentucky Offense Talks Spring Practice
Kentucky football spring practice was a little different on Tuesday. Typically the only thing we know from the closed door sessions comes from the coaches. Today members of the media were invited to take an early look at the Wildcats before fans are welcomed in April 1. Newcomers passed the look test and the offense appeared to be humming, with two exceptions.
“We turned it over twice today. We hadn’t really turned the ball over for the most part throughout the course of the first three practices,” Liam Coen shared after the early morning practice.

The Kentucky offense has been clicking, albeit inconsistently. That is to be expected four spring practices into a new offense with a new quarterback. To correct course, Coen is preaching one simple principle: “How do we sustain success?”
The UK offensive coordinator also talked about the improved depth in the Wildcats’ wide receiver room, saluting the play of Dekel Crowdus. The offense is on schedule, and operating smoothly. A few other topics touched during conversations with Coen and a plethora of players:
— The training wheels have been taken off Jager Burton in his switch to center.
— What makes this defense difficult to face, according to Devin Leary.
— What life is like for Izayah Cummings back under the watch of Liam Coen.
— Barion Brown does not lack confidence.
