Watch Mark Pope recap Kentucky's loss to Georgia before the flight home

Before the Kentucky Wildcats caught a flight out of Athens, Georgia, Mark Pope met with reporters in Stegeman Coliseum for a press conference following the Wildcats’ loss to UGA. Pope spoke for nearly eight minutes about several of the things that went wrong against the Dawgs, from rebounding to distractions and more.

Georgia out-rebounded Kentucky in the game, getting 13 offensive rebounds and 28 on the defensive end. “That’s a bell we gotta ring,” said Pope. “That is unacceptable for us.”

Pope took questions about other issues around Kentucky after a short opening statement, in which he congratulated Georgia on the win, then said of his own team, “We’re disappointed with our performance tonight. A lot of things we have to work on.”
