Mark Pope press conference
Mark Pope press conference

Kentucky men’s basketball head coach Mark Pope was in a good mood (when is he not?) during his weekly Thursday press conference. He seemed just as eager to talk some hoops as the rest of us.

Of course, the conversation revolved plenty around the Wildcats’ 77-72 win over No. 6 Duke on Tuesday night in Atlanta. But he also acknowledged there is still plenty to improve upon on both ends of the floor, especially when it comes to rebounding. Pope also gave in-depth reports on all three of Kentucky’s class of 2025 commits, highlighted the defensive play of Jaxson Robinson and Koby Brea against the Blue Devils, talked a ton about data, and much more.
