Mark Pope talks Kentucky's preparation ahead of SEC Tournament

Mark Pope‘s first-ever SEC Tournament run as Kentucky head coach begins Thursday in Nashville. UK is, as they say, in the house, as they prepare for a late-night, second-round matchup with either Oklahoma or Georgia.

Since Pope and the rest of the Wildcats won’t know their opponent until later tonight, he didn’t go in-depth on his gameplan. But that left him plenty of time to talk about Kentucky’s preparation for this Nashville-based event, how important Collin Chandler will be for the postseason, what it takes to make a deep tournament run, and his experience in the SEC Tournament as a player.

Listen to everything Pope had to say below. 6-seeded Kentucky will face the winner of (11) Georgia and (14) Oklahoma on Thursday night. The Bulldogs and Sooners meet this evening at approximately 9:30 p.m. EST inside Bridgestone Arena.
