WATCH: Mark Stoops, Kentucky players break down final scrimmage

Kentucky football wrapped up its second and final scrimmage of the summer on Saturday afternoon. Now, all that stands between the Wildcats and the season-opener against Southern Miss is two weeks of practice and preparation.

Following the scrimmage, head coach Mark Stoops stepped to the podium to talk with reporters about what went down. After an injury-riddled scrimmage last Saturday, this session was much lighter and shorter (it was especially hot on the Kroger Field turf, too), but Stoops still had plenty to say. He provided some injury updates, broke down his thoughts on the scrimmage, and much more.

Stoops was followed by a pair of players: offensive lineman Eli Cox and defensive back Maxwell Hairston. The two veteran Wildcats shared offensive and defensive perspectives on what they saw during the scrimmage. You can hear everything all three had to say in the video below.
