Watch Mark Stoops named UK's starting QB and more in his Louisville Week press conference
Mark Stoops‘s final Monday press conference of the season was packed with updates and information, including the naming of a starting quarterback, as Stoops previewed Louisville Week. He also looked back on the loss to Texas and more big-picture topics as 2024 winds down with the Governor’s Cup in the regular season finale.
The biggest news of the afternoon was the change at quarterback. Stoops named Cutter Boley the starter for the Louisville game. “I thought he just handled himself very well once again,” Stoops explained. “I thought he had a lot of poise in the pocket. I thought he distributed the football, had the vision to hit open receivers, the arm strength to get the ball down the field on a second play.”
He also discussed a unique offseason ahead once the final game is over. It’s Kentucky‘s first without a bowl game since 2015, and Stoops has a long to-do list once his Wildcats complete the regular season on Saturday.
