WATCH: Mark Stoops reflects on season during UK football bye week
It’s time for the Kentucky football program to exhale. Following the first of three practices during the bye week, Mark Stoops met with the media to talk about his team. After the loss to Georgia, UK’s head coach still likes his team.
“I love this team the same way I did in the morning before the game,” Stoops said. “I feel the same way now. That’s a good group. We’re anxious and eager to get better and that’s all you can ask for.”

Stoops wasn’t the only one who spoke. Fresh off an appearance on Pin it Deep, midseason All-American Eli Cox shared some thoughts on how the Big Blue wall played against Georgia. SPOILER: It was “a tough pill to swallow.”
J.J. Weaver also spent some time chatting with reporters. He peeled back the curtain on his College GameDay appearance, and shared what went wrong for the defense vs. Georgia. The big problem: “Bad eyes.”
