Kentucky’s bye week lasted through a trip to Starkville. Mark Stoops struggled to find the right words to describe the 31-17 loss to Mississippi State.

“It’s pretty difficult to have an opening statement because it’s been a while since we played like that,” said Kentucky’s head coach.

See everything the disappointed Wildcats’ coach said after a four-turnover performance dropped UK to 6-2 on the season.

Kentucky’s defense spent more than 41 minutes on the field as Mississippi Sate milked away the clock with 74 offensive plays. Linebacker Jacquez Jones finished the night with a game-high 18 tackles for the UK defense.

Even though Kentucky only had nine possessions (essentially seven because of a pair of quick third quarter turnovers), wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson still caught nine passes for 79 yards.
