Of all the Kentucky basketball highlight posts, it’s going to be hard to beat this one. Kind of hard to believe when the Cats only scored 81 points, but Otega Oweh made the victory over Texas A&M a memorable one.

It wasn’t Oweh’s best night in a Kentucky uniform. Until he sunk a few late free throws, he was in jeopardy of failing to reach double-figures for the first time this season. It doesn’t matter. The shooting guard did something special on Tuesday night at Rupp Arena.

Once in a Blue Moon, Big Blue Nation is treated to transcendence. That’s what happened when Otega Oweh took to the sky. It was such a preposterous play that it enlightened Jimmy Dykes.

“Some guys drive it to score and some guys drive it to hurt your feelings.” Otega Oweh was all about hurting feelings in the open floor.

I’m not sure a Kentucky Wildcat has ripped out another’s soul like that since Willie Cauley-Stein was wearing a Kentucky uniform. Is it a coincidence that he was on Kentucky Sports Radio yesterday? I think not.

Oweh wasn’t the only highlight-maker. Jaxson Robinson was incredible against his former team. After starting cold, he lit up Texas A&M for a game-high 22 points. Andrew Carr chipped in 13 for the Cats. Enjoy all of the best moments from the 81-69 victory over No. 11 Texas A&M.
