WATCH: Rapid Reaction to La Familia's win over Herd That + interviews with Tyler Ulis, players
There was plenty of fun to be had in Rupp Arena on Tuesday night as La Familia continued its run in The Basketball Tournament.
The team made up of former Kentucky Wildcats stomped Herd That by a final score of 95-66 in the Sweet 16, capped off with the Elam Ender by James Young, who splashed a contested three before falling into the crowd and getting mobbed by his teammates. Eric Bledsoe led the way with 24 points while Kerem Kanter wasn’t too far behind with 20 of his own.
With Tuesday’s result, La Familia advances to the Elite 8 and will face the winner of The Ville-Team DRC next week with a spot in the semifinals on the line. Somehow, the excitement is only just beginning…
