WATCH: The BBN Sings the National Anthem in Unison
Editor’s note: this post was originally written back in January of 2019 after Kentucky beat Kansas in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. What better way to celebrate the 4th of July and the return of the fans than this?
Last night was one of the best Rupp Arena atmospheres in a LONG time, maybe since North Carolina in 2010. That, in turn, called for a special big-game-feel moment when UK brought out Opera Theatre director Dr. Evertt McCovey to lead the sell-out crowd in singing the national anthem.

Hearing a sellout crowd in unison like that before a huge game never gets old.
And for the formerly known Commonwealth Stadium ahead of Mark Stoops first signature win against South Carolina in 2014.
