Kentucky got a good one in Tomiwa Durojaiye.

The newest member of Kentucky’s class of 2022 football recruiting class chose the Wildcats on Sunday afternoon over the likes of West Virginia, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, and Georgia Tech. Durojaiye is Kentucky’s first defensive line commitment for this class and one with enormous upside. He clocks in at around 6-foot-4, 255 pounds, and moves like an otherworldly athlete.

Don’t believe me? Check out the commitment video that Durojaiye posted below. Before explaining which school he chose and why, Durojaiye gave us a behind-the-scenes glimpse of some of his workouts. They don’t look all that fun, either.

“First and foremost I would like to thank god for allowing me to be in this position today and blessing me with the talents and abilities to play the sport that I love,” Tomiwa Durojaiye says in the video. “Next I would like to thank my mom, dad, and stepmom for the countless sacrifices that you guys have made for me and always supported my dreams no matter what. I truly appreciate you guys for everything.

“Thank you to all my friends and family who have supported me through this long journey. Next, I want to thank all my coaches at Middletown for all the lessons taught and putting me in a position to succeed on the field. Next, I would like to thank all the trainers that have helped develop me and mold my game. I would like to thank all my teammates at Middletown for the brotherhood and the bond that we have created.

“Lastly, I would like to thank all the schools that have recruited me. These last couple of months have truly been a blessing and this decision was very tough. With that being said, for the next three to four years I will be going to the University of Kentucky.”

Welcome to the family, Tomiwa.
