Is La Familia vs. The Ville the biggest game the TBT history? You could make that argument.

On Monday night in front of a huge crowd at Freedom Hall, Kentucky’s alumni team will face Louisville’s alumni team in the TBT quarterfinals. The winner will advance to the event’s final four. That has caused many players this week to take a trip down memory lane before the big moment arrives.

Will the former Kentucky players recreate some rivalry magic and get another win against Louisville? That certainly sounds like the plan.

On Sunday afternoon, members of the La Familia team met with members of the media to discuss the upcoming game with the The Ville. KSR was in attendance as head coach Tyler Ulis, general manager Twany Beckham, Willie Cauley-Stein, Andrew Harrison, Aaron Harrison, Eric Bledsoe, James Young, Nate Sestina, and Kerem Kanter each previewed the upcoming matchup.

No one is surprised this game is happening.

“When we saw the brackets come out, we knew that we were on a crash course to play Louisville,” Beckham told the media on Sunday. “Everybody’s excited that it happened that way.”

“It’s going to be electric.”

Tickets are still available for the contest. Some “Go Big Blue” chants will likely occur. KSR will have plenty of pre-game content to get you ready for Monday night. Can’t make it to Freedom Hall? Join us at KSBoard for our live game blog.
