WATCH: Wheeler, Fredrick, Collins and Watkins talk Kentucky hoops

Summer camp season is here, with the Kentucky basketball team participating in the first-annual Players First Satellite ProCamps throughout the state. Friday wrapped up week one, with C.J. Fredrick getting things rolling in Louisville on Wednesday, followed by Sahvir Wheeler in Danville on Thursday and Daimion Collins, Kareem Watkins and Brennan Canada wrapping things up on Friday.
Fredrick, Wheeler, Collins and Watkins all spoke with the media to discuss their camp experiences, along with their thoughts on the Kentucky roster going into the 2022-23 season.

Sahvir Wheeler
Wheeler discussed his growth as a shooter and the chip on his shoulder he has to make a run in next year’s NCAA Tournament, among other topics.
CJ Fredrick
Fredrick updated his health status after missing the 2021-22 season with a torn hamstring. He also discussed his potential role and what he brings to the team as a shooter.

Daimion Collins
Collins discussed his decision to return for a second season, his growth both physically and mentally, and his role going into his sophomore year. He also talked about Kentucky’s new strength and conditioning coach and the impact he’s expected to make on his development.
Kareem Watkins
Watkins discussed his outreach trip to Brazil, his status as a slam dunk champion, and his brother, DJ Wagner, being Kentucky’s No. 1 overall recruiting target in 2023.
