FINAL South Carolina 2024 Season PREDICTIONS

Week one is just getting started, but the sportsbooks aren’t wasting any time. We already have an early look-ahead line for next Saturday’s matchup between Kentucky and South Carolina.

Over at DraftKings Sportsbook, Kentucky is a 6-point favorite over South Carolina. Is this a good or bad value? ESPN’s SP+ power rankings project the Cats to be a 7-point favorite against the Gamecocks.

To be clear, this is an early line that does not have a projected total for over-under bettors. The official point spread will not be released by sportsbooks until Sunday afternoon. There may not be much change from today to tomorrow unless one big upset happens to kick off week one.

Kentucky opens the season at 7:45 pm EST on the SEC Network against Southern Miss. South Carolina opens up Shane Beamer’s fourth season as the Gamecocks’ head coach this afternoon against Old Dominion. The Monarchs will take the field at Williams-Brice Stadium at approximately 4:15 pm EST on the SEC Network.

SEC Nation Coming to Lexington for Kentucky vs. South Carolina

There’s a reason why we have an early line for Kentucky vs. South Carolina. It’s one of the best games in college football’s week two slate.

SEC Nation is coming to Kentucky’s campus ahead of the SEC matchup. The set will move from the Gate 12 Plaza, where the four-letter network broadcasted twice last fall, to the Orange Lot near E.S. Good Barn.

The SEC Network will set up shop before The Paul Finebaum Show, which will broadcast live on campus from 3-7 pm EST. Marty and McGee will kick things off at 9 am EST on Saturday morning, followed by the conference’s pregame show that stars Finebaum, Laura Rutledge, Roman Harper, Jordan Rodgers, and Tim Tebow.

Kentucky won seven of eight in the series until South Carolina rattled off back-to-back victories. Likely pitted against one another as annual rivals in the new-look 9-game SEC schedule, this budding rivalry will host the first-ever SEC on ABC game. Enjoy the new theme music!
