After an impressive summer league debut, Wenyen Gabriel has the night off.

Yesterday, the former Cat had a double-double in Sacramento’s win over Golden State, scoring 22 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in 26 minutes. He was 8-14 from the floor, including 2-6 from three. According to the Sacramento Kings’ Twitter account, he will sit out tonight’s game vs. Miami to rest.

NBA.com listed Wenyen as one of their seven standouts from Day 1 of the Summer League, along with fellow former Cat Tyler Herro. ICYMI earlier, here are his highlights:

…And his postgame comments about how his game has improved since he first entered the league last summer:

You may not be able to watch Wenyen tonight, but you can see Herro’s Heat take on the Kings at 11:00 p.m. ET. Keldon Johnson and the Spurs play the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. ET. Both games will air on NBATV.
