Kentucky’s pair of incoming freshmen saw a slight shift in their ratings as their high school careers come to a close.

On Monday afternoon, On3 unveiled the final basketball player rankings for the class of 2022. Wildcat signees Cason Wallace and Chris Livingston are still both considered top 25 recruits, although Livingston took a bit of a slide in the process. Wallace, a 6-foot-3 guard out of Richardson, TX, moved up from No. 5 overall to No. 4, while Livingston, a 6-foot-7 wing out of Akron, OH, fell down five spots from No. 19 to No. 24 overall, dropping from five-star status to a high four-star.

Kentucky target Leonard Miller, who saw his stock soar in the previous update, jumped even higher to close out the rankings, coming in at No. 2 overall. Miller is believed to be down to Arizona, UK, and the pro route.

Wallace has been one of the hottest names from his class over the last few months, playing better than the majority of his peers in All-Star settings, both during the actual games and in practice sessions. He’s gone from being viewed as a borderline NBA Draft pick to a potential lottery selection once his freshman season at Kentucky finishes up. Wallace’s defensive versatility is what separates him from the pack.

Here’s what On3 wrote about Wallace in the latest update.

The 6-foot-3 guard has the most command of any player in the class. The command is on both ends of the floor. Wallace is tough, physical, quick, fast, rebounds and makes winning plays. But it’s an improving consistency on the perimeter that has launched his stock much higher as a senior. Wallace is going from a player seen as a role player in the NBA to a guard that could end up being a lottery pick after one season.

Wallace was also named the Iverson Classic National High School Player of the Year over the weekend.

As for Livingston, he hasn’t been as impressive in the All-Star game settings as Wallace has, but he’s still played productive basketball. His high school season came to an early end in the first round of the GEICO Nationals, which prevented him from showcasing more. The On3 Consensus, which takes into account other recruiting services, still has Livingston as a top 15 prospect and five-star recruit.
