Where Kentucky football targets rank in updated 2025 On300

Our good friends over at On3 have updated the 2025 high school football player rankings, and there are plenty of Kentucky targets in the mix.
This is the third update of this cycle and the first since May. With five months of film spanning summer offseason events and the first half of junior seasons now available, there was plenty to work with. 48 new prospects broke into the latest On300. There are still 15 months left in this evaluation cycle, but we’re beginning to get a clearer idea of who the top class of 2025 recruits in the country are at this stage.
Below are a dozen recruits from the On300 that have been receiving significant interest from the Kentucky Wildcats. UK currently has just one ’25 prospect committed in three-star QB Stone Saunders. Could some of the names below join him down the road?

Kentucky football targets in updated 2025 On300
Tavion Wallace (LB) 6-1, 195 | Wayne County (Jesup, GA)
4-star: No. 26 overall, No. 2 LB
- The younger brother of current Kentucky linebacker Trevin Wallace, Tavion Wallace might actually be the better high school prospect among the two. Kentucky offered Tavion back in Nov. 2022, although Florida State has been the rumored frontrunner up to this point. UK will be all over Tavion until the very end.
Elijah Melendez (LB) 6-2, 220 | Osceola (Kissimmee, FL)
4-star: No. 50 overall, No. 9 LB
- Back in February, Kentucky was the first Power 5 school to offer Elijah Melendez. Since then, he’s hauled in scholarships from all of the big-name programs, including Alabama and Georgia. The local Sunshine State schools such as Florida and Miami have made significant pushes as well. That being said, Melendez expects to visit UK next weekend when Tennessee comes to Kroger Field.
Luka Gilbert (TE) 6-7, 225 | Lakota West (Cincinnati, OH)
4-star: No. 65 overall, No. 4 TE
- Kentucky associate head coach Vince Marrow is very familiar with the Lakota West program (sophomore DB Alex Afari is a Lakota West product) and now he’s got his eyes on 6-foot-7 Luka Gilbert. Gilbert was in Lexington a few weeks ago for a gameday visit. Of note, UK was his first-ever Division I offer, but Ohio State and Michigan have since extended scholarships.
Dawayne Galloway (CB) 6-2, 175 | Franklin (Columbus, OH)
4-star: No. 99 overall, No. 11 CB
- Dawayne Galloway saw the largest increase in his rating during this update, going from unranked to just inside the Top 100. Kentucky only recently extended him an offer in late September. Georgia offered Galloway a couple of days before the Wildcats. His recruitment has quickly blown up and won’t be slowing down any time soon.
Trey McNutt (CB) 6-0, 180 | Shaker Heights (Shaker Heights, OH)
4-star: No. 109 overall, No. 13 CB
- Another Vince Marrow target from Ohio, Trey McNutt earned his Kentucky offer back in February. He was already a top-rated recruit at the time, having previously picked up offers from the likes of South Carolina and Arkansas. Now, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Tennessee, and many more have gotten involved.
Amaree Williams (EDGE) 6-4, 205 | The Benjamin School (Palm Beach Gardens, FL)
4-star: No. 121 overall, No. 7 EDGE
- The son of former Kentucky running back Moe Williams, Amaree Williams will be tough to turn into a legacy recruit. Alabama offered him the other day, joining a group that already included Georgia, Florida, Southern California, Michigan, and many more. Williams will be in Lexington when Alabama comes to town on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Bo Jackson (RB) 6-0, 205 | Villa Angela-St. Joseph (Cleveland, OH)
4-star: No. 133 overall, No. 10 RB
- The appropriately named Bo Jackson is one of the country’s top running back prospects. Based out of Cleveland, Ohio State has the inside edge, but Jackson is slow-playing his recruitment. He’ll start taking visits once the college football season wraps up. Kentucky, which was his first DI offer back in May 2022, will be one of his top visit priorities. Jackson has already visited UK multiple times.
Jaimier Scott (CB) 6-0, 185 | Mt. Healthy (Cincinnati, OH)
4-star: No. 137 overall, No. 15 CB
- Jaimier Scott earned his Kentucky offer in May and was in Lexington the following month for a camp visit. He currently does not have another trip to UK scheduled, but one is in the works. Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, and Louisville have also offered.
Dante McClellan (LB) 6-3, 200 | McKinley (Canton, OH)
4-star: No. 157 overall, No. 20 LB
- Dante McClellan suits up for McKinley (OH), which is coached by former Kentucky offensive tackle Antonio Hall (whose son, Nik Hall, is a redshirt freshman at UK). McClellan was in Lexington for a camp visit in June and he included Kentucky among his “First 10” the month before. The top competition appears to be Tennessee, which offered McClellan in August and got him on campus this past weekend.
Martels Carter Jr. (S) 6-1, 185 | Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY)
4-star: No. 237 overall, No. 20 S
- The top-ranked player from Bluegrass State, Martels Carter Jr. is coming off a visit to UK over the weekend. He only recently moved to Kentucky though; Tennessee is his true home. Carter visited the Volunteers earlier in the month. He’s being recruited by Kentucky at wide receiver and safety. Carter is a close friend of the Wildcats’ 2024 QB commit Cutter Boley.
Jaylen Mosley (S) 6-0, 185 | Jackson Christian (Jackson, TN)
4-star: No. 239 overall, No. 21 S
- Kentucky only offered him in September, but the Wildcats have made an impression on Jaylen Mosley. He was in Lexington earlier this season for a gameday visit and is another defensive back prospect being recruited to play wide receiver at UK. The linebackers coach at his high school, Jackson Christian, is former Kentucky linebacker Avery Williamson.
Austin Alexander (EDGE) 6-3, 240 | Cooper (Burlington, KY)
4-star: No. 273 overall, No. 21 EDGE
- The nephew of former NFL MVP Shaun Alexander, Austin Alexander is being recruited heavily by Kentucky. He was in Lexington earlier this season for a gameday visit. Notre Dame offered him in late August, which is where Alexander’s father attended college.
