Wide receiver Josh Ali will return for 2021 Kentucky football season
The Gator Bowl was not the last we’ve seen of Josh Ali.
Shortly after the Wildcats defeated No. 23 NC State 23-21, Kentucky’s leading receiver announced he will use the extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA and return for one more season in Lexington.

No. 6 caught more passes than the rest of UK’s receiving corps combined. He caught four passes for 18 yards in the Gator Bowl, finishing the season with 53 receptions for 480 yards and a touchdown.
Ali’s decision will give Liam Coen a reliable weapon as the new offensive coordinator installs a new playbook. This is the most significant recruiting win of the season for Kentucky, giving the BBN hope for a bright future in the Wildcats’ passing attack.
