OK, BBN — it’s back!  Now in its second year, the popular “Wildcat Legends” Fine Art Series will unveil a new tribute print this Saturday, when 3-time Kentucky All-American Jack “Goose” Givens will be on hand to autograph his new art print for fans.

Givens’ “Art Release Ceremony” will be held this Saturday, November 14th  in the Rupp Arena/Lexington Center mall foodcourt from 6:00 — 7:30, immediately before the 8:00 pm UK-NJIT game.  Jack will be on hand to autograph this beautiful new print of him for all fans, regardless if they have tickets for the game or not.

A 3-time All-American who led his team to the 1978 NCAA Championship (including a near-record 41 points in the championship game), Givens is 3rd on UK’s all-time career points list, and the Lexington native is one of our most beloved stars.

Jack is looking forward to seeing the fans again this Saturday.  “I am excited and honored to be a member of the ‘Wildcat Legends’ Fine Art Series,” Givens said.  “Having seen and enjoyed the artwork for the previous Honorees, I’m sure these prints will be coveted by our incredible fan base that makes Kentucky basketball so special.”

Featured “Wildcat Legends” from last year’s initial season were Mike Pratt, Tony Delk and Kevin Grevey.  This season’s “Wildcat Legends” honorees are Givens,  Kenny Walker, Kyle Macy and a SPECIAL HONOREE to be announced soon.

“Wildcat Legends” is a collectible series of Fine Art prints from original, individual player paintings by national sports artist and Kentucky native David Bryan Blondell, honoring living UK stars from the 60’s through the 90’s.  Each star’s individual art print features a compilation of action poses of him during his time in the Big Blue uniform.  Fans may choose to collect any one or all.

Reasonably-priced at $35 signed ($20 unsigned), the 11” X 17” high-quality Limited Edition fine art prints will be numbered and signed by Givens; only 500 commemorative prints of him will be produced.
