The NFL Draft starts tonight and even though no Kentucky Wildcats are expected to hear their names called in the first round, next year could be a different story. Over the past week, there’s been plenty of buzz about Will Levis as NFL writers study tape of Wan’Dale Robinson and defensive draft prospects the Cats faced last season.

Jim Nagy, executive director of the Reese’s Senior Bowl, tweeted out a sneak peek of his 2023 quarterback board this morning, and look who’s right at the top: Will Levis.

Last week, Levis even popped up in the early 2022 Heisman Odds at +5000. Might be worth jumping on that just in case.

Bruce Feldman: “I would keep an eye on Will Levis”

During an appearance on “The Andy Staples Show” this week, Bruce Feldman singled Levis out as a quarterback that could surprise everyone by sneaking into the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

“I don’t know where he’s going to be in terms of development-wise, but I would keep an eye on Will Levis. Will Levis has a cannon for an arm. He can run. He played a year — he didn’t have a spring — but he played a year in Liam Coen’s offense, which had a lot more NFL concepts than what Kentucky was doing before. Now Liam’s moved on but–“

“They brought someone in from the [Kyle] Shanahan tree,” Staples added. “It just continues.”

“One of those guys, we always talk about, who’s that quarterback that’s going to blow up like Joe Burrow did or in this case, like Zach Wilson or Kenny Pickett because nobody had Kenny Pickett as a first-round pick. Could be Dillon Gabriel. I actually would say — hey, if you’d ask me to say who’s my longshot? I’d say keep an eye on Will Levis.

See all of Feldman’s comments on Levis below. He also had some praise for Wan’Dale Robinson a little later if you let it roll.

Will Levis will attend the Kentucky Derby

It’s been quite a month for Kentucky’s starting quarterback. Levis and his girlfriend spent spring break in Italy, he and offensive lineman John Young went to the Masters, and he signed the first-ever NIL deal between a college athlete and a Thoroughbred stallion. The fun continues next weekend when Levis will attend his first Kentucky Derby.

In the off-chance he’s reading, feel free to share your Kentucky Derby tips with Levis in the comments.
