Will Levis compares training camp to playing a rivalry game every week

Former Kentucky gunslinger, Will Levis, might be in NFL training camp with the Tennessee Titans, but he can’t get away from making college analogies. He met with reporters after practice recently and talked about the intensity day in and day out.
“You’d think we were playing a rivalry game out here every week, you know? When we are in the locker room it’s all love and everything, but we are trying to win every rep…it’s going out there competing to win every rep. A lot of these guys, we’re competing for roster spots. The wins and the losses, they add up.”
Levis is not at risk of being cut, considering the Titans traded up in the second round to secure his services, but he is in a heated competition with Malik Willis to enter the season as the Titans’ backup quarterback behind presumed starter, Ryan Tannehill.
Levis also casually referenced the signing of Pro Bowl wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins, who is coming off a rough year with the Arizona Cardinals.

“We couple new additions…a couple of big ones, you know? So we are bringing them along.” He added a coy smile as if to say he was extremely excited to have such a dynamic weapon on the field.
As the countdown to college football ticks away, it is easy to forget that we are just 13 sleeps away from watching Will Levis play professional football for the first time. The Titans will open their preseason against the Chicago Bears on Saturday, August 12. We will most certainly see him on the field vying for a rung-up on the depth chart.
