The Titans knocked the Jaguars out of the playoffs in the final week of the regular season. Will Levis poured salt on an open wound during a “friendly” competition against Jacksonville QB Trevor Lawrence.

The week leading into the Super Bowl has transformed into an NFL convention. Athletes descend upon Radio Row to plug products for sponsors in-between parties and other events. Following his first season in the NFL, Will Levis appears to be making the most out of his week in Vegas.

The former Kentucky quarterback was one of eight athletes who participated in the second annual Proctor and Gamble Battle of the Paddles. It’s a ping-pong competition live-streamed on Twitch and various other channels. This was no friendly competition for the hyper-competitive Levis.

The Titans quarterback broke out in a sweat, bouncing all around the table to take down a divisional rival. He brought his own sweat towel to keep his hands dry while slamming the ball onto Lawrence’s side of the table. When the dust finally settled, Levis prevailed with a 15-8 victory.

Levis wasn’t just playing ping-pong with other NFL athletes. He also hit the links.

It was around this time two years ago that Levis was hanging with Tom Brady at a golf event in Vegas. This year he was with LIV golfers. Joined by future first round draft pick Drake Maye, Phil Mickelson showed the quarterbacks a thing or two on the course before they played 18 holes.

“I have never taken any kind of golf lessons in my life, and I feel like I learned more about chipping in the 10-minute lesson he gave me today than anything I have learned in my entire life,” Levis said of Mickelson. “I was all ears, and it paid off, because I chipped one in for a nice birdie on 15, followed by a nice putt for a birdie on 16 as well.”

Levis did not spend all of his time talking about the events surrounding the Super Bowl. It’s fun, but he’d much rather be playing in the game this Sunday. The Titans underwent significant changes this offseason, forcing him to quickly learn the business side of the NFL.

“It is a business, and all these decisions are made each and every year,” Levis said of the coaching change. “It was surprising, and there was that limbo period of: What is going to happen with everyone else once we hired somebody? It was definitely a little uncomfortable, because we have no say in all of it. We all loved playing for coach Vrabes, but we all know Miss Amy and the front office, and the organization, has a plan for us.

“I know I am part of the plan, and for her to think of me and include me in it is really special and makes me want to work even harder.”

A New Target for Levis?

While I’m sure many Tennessee Titans fans were amused and entertained by Levis’ domination of Lawrence, that was not the biggest news for the franchise from Radio Row in Vegas.

Brock Bowers was one of many future first rounders conducting interviews on Wednesday. The former Georgia All-American tight end was asked a question that every one of these players receives at some point, “If you had to pick, which NFL team would you like to go to?”

It’s a great question in theory, but one no one ever answers. Players respond with some form of “I’ll go wherever I get taken.” Bowers included that caveat before replaying with an actual answer.

“I’d be alright with going to the Tennessee Titans,” Bowers told Pro Football Talk. “I liked it down in the Georgia, Tennessee area. I thought it was cool and that would be a cool spot to be in.”

Bowers would be a wonderful weapon to give Levis early in his career. Chigoziem Okonkwo has been a quality option, but he’s no Brock Bowers. The former Georgia star could inject so much fun into Brian Callahan’s offense, but there’s just one problem: Tennessee needs an offensive tackle. Picking one with the seventh overall selection is the obvious choice. Talented offensive tackles are harder to find than tight ends and Levis needs someone to keep him healthy.

The Titans probably won’t make Brock Bowers’ dreams come true, but Tennessee fans can dream big until draft night.
